All is well

For those of you who didn't know it already Nate came home on the 10th. Sorry if you were still worried. If you didn't know we were home and you were not worried then SHAME ON YOU! Nate could still be in the NICU.

Anyway, we're home. Nate's doing well. He's still breathing too fast but slow enough for us to have him home. We just have to be extra careful about germs and not stimulate him too much. Lex and Owen have adjusted quite well. They both ignore Nate most of the time. Lex has the whole 'been there, done that' attitude most of the time. It took me a week to talk her into feeding Nate so I could get some pictures. She does, however, frequently announce that she can't love Owen anymore. She can only love her new baby. Most of the time she can't love Shane or myself either. We encourage Owen's lack of intrest; he's big on whacking things with his maraka at the moment.

My mom was here for a week. I won't get into that because I don't want to think about how HUGE of a help she was and just how in over my head I am. I really could go on and on about how fabulous my mother is. I will say this, how many moms get up to do the middle of the night bottle feedings and diaper changes? I am a very lucky girl. And also a very sad one. She went home yesterday.

Oh, I am so glad. We've been praying for your family. He is adorable and I'm glad to hear that adjustment is going OK for the kiddies. It makes it easier to adjust as a mom when the older kids are OK. I hear you about your mom. My mom would lay Ella back down for me after every feeding. I cried for a straight hour when she left! Not that I should bring up sad feelings right now, so forget that. But, life does get easier and it is so fun to get to know a whole new little person. I can't wait to hear more about him!

Oh, I am so happy to hear that he's home and everything is going well! We've been thinking about you guys and hoping and praying all was well. He looks like such a sweet little guy! And so cute and little and cuddly! Oh my goodness I miss that. I hope the adjusting and everything keeps going so well and you're having fun with your sweet new little guy. I also cried my eyes out both times my mom left, but we got through it :) At least Shane's family is close! :)

How great to have Nate home and how sad to have your mom gone. It looks like you have a very sweet baby.

Congrats on your baby! Cooking the crockpot is the easiest! Around lunchtime, I throw frozen chicken in the crockpot (3-4 boneless skinless breasts depending on size) shake on salt and pepper, turn it on low and walk away. (Now, i have to check that it's plugged in, due to a mishap recently...talk about frustration). Then, when I'm ready to throw it all together, I pull it out, shred it and throw it in the filling mixture. Good LUCK! with the recipe and more so with your new addition. Congrats again!

Hi Kenzie, Shane, and family! Nate is so handsome...I'm glad he's doing well now. I love this photo of your Mom and Nate. I miss your Mom! When you talk to her, tell I said hello and to call Tammy sometime!
